Q: What is a good response to a mailer?
We like to see 250 - 350 responses on our event packages.
Q: Do only secondary customers respond to direct mail?
For most mailers this is true. However, we have spent a lot of time and
testing to develop letters that will bring in higher beacon scores. It
better be good.
Q: I'm concerned about all the regulations and guidelines for mailing what
should I do?
Sorry to say that all mail companies say they are sure their mailers
comply, however, we see mailers every day that do not conform. We take great
efforts to monitor all the changes.
Q: Should I put dates on my mail?
If a mail company ever puts a date on one of your mailers, fire them.
Mailers can have a great shelf life, up to three months. Never date a mailer.
Q: Why do you have so many ways to respond?
Would you want your wife or family member calling and talking to 50% of the
sales people working today? Customers need an automated response choice
so they don't have to talk to someone if they don't want to. Also, most
customers see your mail when your closed.
Q: How long does it take to mail?
We try and have a mailer drop 5 days after payment is received. Then it
takes anywhere from 3 - 10 days to hit homes depending on several factors.
